A style of dance found among the rhythmless, the elderly, and as the name says, white males. Often lampooned by
comedians, and frequently seen in films like Revenge of the Nerds, you will find this dance being done by someone's father,
grandfather, or uncle at almost any wedding, Bar Mitzvah, Sweet Sixteen, or -- if you are Irish -- wake.

The best part about it is, you don't even have to worry about keeping time, because it looks just as good no matter what!

Here's how you do it:

1. Stick your butt out to the right
2. Put your elbows against your sides, but stick your arms both out to the left
3. Switch the directions that your arms and butt are pointing.

Repeat

And now, for the piece de resistance:

4. Place your top front teeth on the outside of your bottom lip, all while repeating the steps above.

There are many variations to this dance, but the aforemtioned is the traditional styles. You may choose to add kicks, punches, or other hip dance moves to accent yourself while you get down. Even a little air guitar is acceptable.

: white man's overbite :

white man's overbite

derogatory term used to describe the facial expression white people make while dancing.

You could see Uncle Charlie's white man's overbite every time he did the white man shuffle.

A disgusting display which no person should be made to observe. As best I can describe, it is an expression of what could possibly be described as enjoyment
(on the part of the white man dancing) except it scares children to tears.

It is also always accompanied by bizarre and a pathetic excuse for dancing. Specifically the two foot shuffle, with arms hanging down like limp weights. Textbook white boy dancing.

Tim was tearing up the floor, being cheered on by his white friends. He lifted one leg and put it down, then lifted his other leg and placed it back down on the ground, repeating this over and over in a rhythm completely out of sync with the beat of the music. His arms hung straight down the side of his body, motionless as if his collarbone had snapped.

Suddenly he smacked one of his arms by mistake when he lifted his leg. His arm went forward about a foot. The crowd went wild with cheering and Tim let out a loud "woooooo!"
